Airmail zero archive#
I deal with the email right away by sending it to whatever app or folder it needs to go to, then archive the original email. Several other services, including Trello, Fantastical, Deliveries (track all those packages you get with a click!), Dropbox, Dayone are all included, and there are many, many more. The same goes for Evernote if you’d like to save an email.

With this app, you can send an email as a task to Todoist with a click. For instance, I use Todoist for my tasks. Where the app changes things for me is in the integration with other apps. There is also an apple watch app, that is useful, allowing you to delete mail from your watch. The app is very fast- faster than the native client. The apps are $9.99 for the mac, and $4.99 for iOS. I’ve been using it for about 4 months now, and I don’t think I’ll change, which is REALLY saying something since searching for new apps is some kind of compulsion for me. I’m currently using Airmail 3 ( on my MacBook air and on my iPhone and iPad, and love the program. However, I have found an app that really helps me stay on top of the email monster. I am really terrible at letting email pile up. If you occasionally forget to follow-up with someone, or just want to cut down on clutter in your inbox, I suggest trying "Inbox Zero." It feels good not to forget things, and besides, things with Zero in its name are just cooler.I don’t know about you, but one of my most neglected daily tasks is email processing.

This makes a huge difference for me at least. The way I'm doing it now, if I do nothing, then it is always there to remind me. The big difference for me is that doing the Inbox Zero approach, I don't have to do anything to create a "follow-up." If I had a To Do list, I'd have to add something to it any time I needed to remind myself of something. Why don't you just use a "To Do" list (something even built into Airmail)? Since doing this for a couple weeks, I haven't yet missed following up on anything, something that happens from time to time, unfortunately (usually minor things are forgotten, but sometimes it's more important things). Once I finish following up with it, I archive it. Now that I'm archiving my email after I'm done with it, it means that email that I'm not done with remains in my inbox. Often, I'm working on a project and I get an email that I can't address right away.

On a deeper level, it means slightly different things to different people, but for me, it has helped me be better at following up with people. Inbox Zero simply means keeping your email inbox empty. I recently switched to Airmail for a better overall mail experience (this is a story for another day, but in summation: still a bit young, but I've found better Gmail integration, and nice features that better suit my needs).īut now that I can archive email easier (just a swipe!), I've decided to give "Inbox Zero" another try.
